Senior Refresher Course FAQs
Is this course only for drivers who have had their licence suspended?
Not at all. The Senior Refresher Course is for any senior driver who wants to update their knowledge, feel more confident, or prepare for an MTO senior assessment — regardless of their current licence status.
Will this course help me pass the MTO cognitive test?
Yes. One full section of the course is dedicated to preparing you for the cognitive test required by the MTO for senior drivers. We also include a general mock knowledge test so you can practice before the real assessment.
Can a family member register on behalf of a senior parent?
Absolutely. Many families help their parents or grandparents register. Simply call us at (613) 737-9595 or register online and we’ll guide you through the process.
Is the course available online or only in-class?
The Senior Refresher Course is currently offered in-class only at our Kanata and Walkley locations. The in-person format allows for a more interactive, supportive learning experience which we’ve found works best for this course.
Does the school offer any other services for senior drivers?
Yes — we also offer Senior Re-Testing preparation and individual in-car lessons for senior drivers who want hands-on practice before or after their assessment. Contact us to discuss the right combination of services for your situation.
